Everything Bagel Smoked Salmon Toasts

Obviously, these taste amazing. But perhaps most importantly, these delicious little toasts are NO COOK!!

Easing back into a post-summer routine has frankly been a nightmare. I already miss the beach, my tan, summer Fridays, carefree Thursdays, no-stress Wednesdays… it’s all so sad. And while I DO love all things fall (who doesn’t?) I’m not quite ready for cozy-everything. So I decided to gently transition us into September with a toast that’s bright, fresh, and just a touch homey. Not to mention easily customizable in so many ways.

For those who don’t yet know: Everything Bagel seasoning is a revelation. It adds a delightful punch of pizzaz to just about anything, lending crazy texture + flavor with every shake. I like to sprinkle it over sushi, avocado toast, poached eggs, roasted potatoes, and so much more. But my favorite way right now are these smoked salmon toasts, which are simple and convenient enough to make whenever you want.

For this toast I really wanted the salmon + seasoning flavor to shine, so I went with crème fraîche as my spread. Mild, creamy, and cool, creme fraiche is like the blank-slate of dairies — It’s not much on it’s own, but it plays up other tastes and flavors beautifully. If you’d like a bolder finish, cream cheese or even goat cheese could work here. But if you’re looking for a daintier vibe like me, crème fraîche is the answer.

Slather thick smears of fraîche onto toasted bread — I like sourdough for this — then top with folds of smoked salmon, sliced radish, red onion, and everything bagel seasoning. Wild caught salmon from Nova Scotia is my favorite, but in general try and steer clear of “farmed” and preservative-laden smoked salmons loaded with stabilizers.

They’re bad for you, the environment, and they taste pretty crappy too.

A garnish of pea shoots for color + greens finishes this up in a simple, clean, sophisticated manner. But if you want to get crazy with this, why not!?

Add some sliced mini heirloom tomatoes, fresh corn, crumbled bacon, or chili on top for a taste all your own. Xo

Everything Bagel Smoked Salmon Toasts


  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 oz creme fraiche
  • 6 oz smoked salmon
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 radishes, thinly sliced
  • Trader Joe’s “Everything Bagel” seasoning
  • pea shoots to garnish


  1. Toast the bread to your desired level of crispiness. I recommend extra crisp!
  2. Slather each slice of toast with a thick schmear of creme fraiche, then top with folds of smoked salmon, red onion, and radish. Season generously with “everything bagel” seasoning, garnish with pea shoots, and eat!
